syck.pyd

syck.pyd is a process file for use with the Python programming language.  Syck itself is an extention for the language.  This particular file runs under the Digsby instant messaging/social media/email organizer program, and may be used with other programs as well.

Files like syck.pyd, as well as .dll and other kinds of process files, generally run in the Microsoft Windows registry.  This is a database that acts as a “shortcut” between active programs and the other programs, databases, and hardware they need to communicate with.

The Windows registry sometimes becomes cluttered, however.  This can be due to malicious programs like viruses, programs that don’t uninstall properly, or the accumulation of updates that happens over time.

A cluttered registry will lead to slow computer function.  A dangerously cluttered registry will often cause a computer to crash at unexpected moments!  Feel free to try the free scan offered by ZookaWare PC Cleaner to see how your own computer’s registry looks.
