Aureate.f – Last of a Dying Breed?
Aureate.f is a clone of the rest of the Aureate family of spyware and adware, and can be counted onto be just as annoying as all its predecessors. It finds its way onto your computer system, and begins a slow but sure takeover of your entire computer system. You’ll start to notice your browser being hijacked, and you’ll feel as though you have little to no control over this. You see popup ads appear, usually of the offensive variety that you have neither asked for nor wanted to view. The point is, with adware like this, you don’t have to actively do anything for it to manifest and start stealing not only your time, productivity and system resources, but it can and will send on information about you and your habits and preferences to third party severs all over the world, whose sole business is to sell your info!
Getting rid of a pest like Aureate.f is no picnic either. You’ll find yourself looking all over creation trying to find all the files that Aureate.f has stashed on your computer, and the chances are quite high you won’t come close to finding them all. It’s simply too crafty an application, and is too good at hiding and disguising itself for you to have a decent shot at deleting it from your machine.
The fact that more than 30 million computers (a conservative number) have had some form of Aureate on their machine at one time or another shows us just how persistent and pervasive this adware can be! Getting it off your machine should be your number one priority once you know this is the problem.
To make sure you get all shreds of Aureate.f deleted from your computer, make sure you use a trusted and legitimate antispyware solution, such as ZookaWare PC Cleaner. This is one of the only types of programs that give you a shot at saving your computer from ruin, and possibly your personal information from pillaging!
