Protux

Protux is a backdoor software program that usually installs with the assistance of trojans. Protux allows the attacker to take control of a compromised computer, and often use it for malicious purposes. System files may be modified or deleted, and additional malware may install on your PC. Protux may also allow the hacker to gain access to private information such as passwords and business accounts. You may notice that your computer acts strangely or runs slow.

To remove Protux manually, you must kill all associated running processes, then locate all related files and values in the Windows registry in order to delete them. This process can cause damage to your PC when not done correctly. To remove Protux automatically, it is advised that you use a reputable antispyware tool such as Spyzooka, which is designed for this purpose.
