Spambot is a backdoor trojan that allows an attacker to control your PC from a remote location and use it for malicious purposes. System files may be modified, and the attacker may execute commands, change network settings and send out extremely large amounts of spam emails from your account.

Spambot should be removed at once when detected, and may make your computer become slow or unstable. To remove Spambot manually, you must first kill all associated running processes. It is then necessary to locate and delete all related files and values in the Windows registry. Manual removal of Spambot is not advised due to the risk of damage to your PC. To remove Spambot automatically, it is suggested that you use a reputable antispyware program such as Spyzooka, which is 100% guaranteed and designed for this purpose.

SpyZooka worked fine for me. It got rid of 5 trojan horses that my other anti-virus couldn’t fix (one was called Trojan.Spambot).
