ClearStream Accelerator Spyware Profile
ClearStream Accelerator is a spyware program disguised as a browser helper object. It was created by River Software, Inc., and released on December 3 of 2003. River Software is believed to be defunct, since their webpage at http://www.riversoftware.net/ is unable to be opened. However, that does not mean that ClearStream Accelerator is not in circulation.
Typically, you can get infected by ClearStream Accelerator by drive-by downloads when you visit certain affiliate sites. There was once an option to “intentionally” get ClearStream Accelerator as a browser enhancer. For this, River Software made it clear in their End User Licensing Agreement that it was spyware, and, in so many words, a Trojan Downloader.
ClearStream Accelerator downloads files from a remote server to update itself. This can include more spyware programs. ClearStream Accelerator also delivers pop-up ads, can slow down your browser, and cause browser crashes. It has no beneficial purpose to the user.
If you notice pop-up ads and your computer is acting strange, you may have a ClearStream Accelerator infection, or one of many other spyware infections. These programs offer no real benefit to the user, and what benefit they do give does not justify the inconvenience they create. You should remove your spyware using SpyZooka. It is consistently successful with all spyware and adware removals.

About a couple of weeks a colleague had a problem with internet connection (with FF and with IE), local network disk worked and all intranet worked good, but browsing was impossible. Note that I left the pc always on because during the night each programmer pc rebuilds the projects.
After a reboot everything re-worked correctly, but keep receiving pop-ups.
I had to download ClearStream Accelerator Remover, and the computer is working fine.
I have used SpyZooka and the program is effective in removing spyware, malware, even keyloggers.
