AdultPop Online Dialer Profile
AdultPop Online Dialer was first discovered in July of 2003. The identity of its creator is unknown, but it is probably transmitted from websites with adult content. Dialers intend nothing but exploitation of the infected computer, which could lead to serious financial risks for the user.
AdultPop Online Dialer, like pretty much any other Dialer, is installed on your computer invisibly by an ActiveX drive-by download. Other methods of transmission include email attachments and Worm-style instant messaging transmissions. It also can be manually installed by the user. In fact, AdultPop Online Dialer and many other Dialers claim to connect the user to “exclusive porn content.”
AdultPop Online Dialer’s main mode of exploitation is that it hijacks your dial-up modem. It then uses it to call long distance or “1-900” numbers instead of the user’s typical Internet service provider, all without the awareness or approval of the user. This can result in enormous phone bills that the user may be unaware of. The vendor with usually “split the take” with the owner of the 900 number.
AdultPop Online Dialer can also serve as a component for other malware programs. Trojans, like Backdoors, Worms, and Downloaders, are common this way. This function has turned into a more regular use for Dialers, since dial-up modems aren’t nearly as common as they used to be. In this function, it makes the connection to the server’s website, usually by using IRC technology.

I was just watching an interview on Daily Motion using FireFox. Then a pop up came up of a lot of hardcore porn. I’ve had spyware/popups on my comp for about 2 months. The pop ups, I just ignore until now… because I couldn’t get rid of them. I’ve used AdAware, Norton… all of that. None of it worked. Now the pop ups are porn…. and KIDS use my computer….
Thanks SpyZooka for helping me to get this thing out of my computer.
I have a popup blocker ON, and Norton Anti-Virus installed, but still i was bombarded with the porn-popups. Even in the advertisements of my yahoo e-mail page!
I know that for now on I will trust only Blue Penguin’s SpyZooka. thanks!
I was looking up certain tips for an online game and I click on one website that sort of sounded like what I wanted but then all of the sudden when I went to it all of these porn popups come up and its really annoying. I don’t like porn either :l My anti virus wasn’t able to do anything, so I had do search for something by myself. I found SpyZooka and it helped. I can say that I was amazed how fast it worked.
This is one of the best system protection utilities there is! I use it all the time. SpyZooka does find and fix problems if you keep it up to date.
