Bdsearch – Not a Helper At All!

Although classified as a BHO, (Browser helper object) Bdsearch is really not something you want on your computer. It is adware that promotes various unsolicited advertisements onto your computer screen, whether or not you are connected to the internet. It also can open the doors wide open for all sorts of other, more dangerous spyware, malware and fraudware to enter and pillage at will. You most likely were saddled with this little bugger by downloading a questionable video, or it can come bundled with other freeware.

Signs that you may have a Bdsearch infection are like those of most other spyware and adware: your computer is now slow, lethargic and web surfing seems to take an eternity. Your browser is often hijacked to other pages that you have no interest in, or to porn sites. It can redirect your Internet Explorer error pages to ones of its choosing, and inundate your machine with an endless supply of popup advertisements.

Getting rid of Bdsearch is not altogether easy to do by yourself. Like most adware programs it leaves very few traces of itself to be found. There are no icons on your system tray, and they don’t show up on your task list. Also, there is no uninstall to be found, even if you could find the program. There are oodles of places it winds its way into, and often can reconstitute itself if you did manage to delete some of it.

The best way to deal with a piece of adware like this is to employ the services of a good antispyware solution like ZookaWare PC Cleaner. It comes with a 100% spyware removal guarantee, and will make sure to get every last shred of Bdsearch off your machine. Try and do it yourself, and you’ll still be at it this time next year!
