Combrepl Spyware Profile

Combrepl is a spyware program that was first discovered on January 31 of 2004.  It collects information about your browsing history and perhaps more personal information.  It then sends your information to a remote server.  Once your information is processed, it sends pop-up ads to your computer.

You may have gotten Combrepl by visiting a malicious website or downloading it in a bundle of ad-supported freeware.  It is possible that it comes bundled with several spyware programs.

You should not allow Combrepl to stay on your computer.  Aside from the annoying pop-up ads, it can slow down your computer’s performance and lead to program errors.  It can also violate your privacy.

Manual removal is a complicated process.  Combrepl is set to start up when your browser is opened, so incomplete removal can leave your computer open to a repeated infection with Combrepl.  Many instructions in this process may be out of date or in error.  This can lead to removal of important files on your computer.  You should use a spyware removal tool such as ZookaWare PC Cleaner to remove Combrepl.
