Keenval Is Keen On Getting Past Your Security

Back in the year 2005, Keenval presented a special challenge to the antispyware industry.  Both the Trojan Downloader version and the Browser Hijacker version proved to be difficult enough that for a time, all the major antispyware companies had to resort to recommending manual removal instructions while they figured out what to do with it.

The problem the spyware companies had with Keenval essentially amounted to outmoded updating techniques.  They were essentially blindsided by this program.  ZookaWare PC Cleaner is the only company that effectively addressed this problem.

Basically, our philosophy is that instead of waiting for someone to get infected and tell us about it, we go out and look for new spyware ourselves.  Not just every week or so like the other companies, but 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Keenval or any other spyware program doesn’t have a chance with us.

The way a Keenval infection happens depends on which version you get, either the .b/e version, or the .c one.  One is a Downloader, and the other is a Browser Hijacker.  These are two different kinds of infection.

The Keenval Downloader works very much like Vundo or Zlob.  It bypasses your security system and allows other programs to download to your computer without your consent.  This can be devastating or merely annoying.

With the Keenval Downloader infection, you may find yourself with an Adware infection.  You may get more spyware.  Maybe some corrupt security tools.  You may even get viruses or worms.

This is the reason Downloaders such as Keenval, Vundo and Zlob have such a dreadful reputation among the antispyware community.  You never know what you’re getting.  It can be as simple as low performance, and can get as bad as damaged files or even destroyed computer components.

If you get the Keenval Browser Hijacker infection, you’re in for a wild ride.  Browser Hijackers basically take control of your browser and redirect you to advertising sites of their choosing.  Quite often, the ad sites are chosen based on your browsing habits.

The Keenval Browser Hijacker knows which sites it wants to send you to based on the browsing history stored in your Temporary Files.  It scans these files and sends them to a remote server which processes your information, makes a file of your information, and chooses the advertising based on that information.

Naturally, the Keenval Hijacker infection uses up a lot of your computer’s resources doing all this.  Your computer will run much slower.  Your programs may crash.  If the load is too much for your computer to handle, it will crash itself and take you to the “Blue Screen of Doom.”

The slow lag time of other antispyware companies is what inspired me to create ZookaWare PC Cleaner.  We’re the only company that offers a 100% spyware removal guarantee.  You will never see manual removal instructions from us, because you won’t have to.  Within minutes of a new spyware’s release, you already have protection.  You shouldn’t have to do stuff to your registry and run the risk of ruining your computer because you got infected.
