Total PC Defender

Total PC Defender gives the illusion of security but the reality could not be further from the truth.  Like most scareware, Total PC Defender will try to intimidate the user into purchasing its product by posting phony security alerts such as this: “Security Warning! Malicious programs that may steal your private information and prevent your system from working properly are detected on your computer. Click here to clean your PC immediately.” Do not be fooled because this is yet another rogue security application.  Your computer is not under attack but rather invaded by a Trojan attempting to market a useless product by deceptive means.

Total PC Defender usually enters a computer using a Trojan file and once it has gained access you will begin to notice an onslaught of fake security alerts and notifications prompting you to purchase the full program.  It is designed to run automatically as soon as Windows starts.  Purging this menace from your PC should be your highest priority.

I just found this website a while ago when a friend suggested it to me. I have been an avid reader ever since.

I can’t get it off of my laptop. I can’t even use my laptop right now b/c everytime I try to exit out, it tells me that the action is prohibited. It went away once for a short while, but is back again. I’ve tried turning my laptop off, switching user (although I’m the only user on it), and nothing works. I have StopSign on my laptop, but it didn’t delete it. Does anyone know what to do??

I tried a few antispyware programs and nothing would clean up my system. I was ready to use the installation disk when I tried SpyZooka. It worked! My system is running great now.
