    • Edit the value (on the right pane) by right-clicking on it and selecting the Modify option. Select the Delete option.
    • Search and delete these AdvancedPrivacyGuard registry keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Advanced Privacy Guard
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\AdvancedPrivacyGuard
  4. Remove AdvancedPrivacyGuard Directories.
    • To find AdvancedPrivacyGuard directories, go to Start > My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > Show the contents of this folder.
    • Right-click on the AdvancedPrivacyGuard folder and select Delete.
  5. To remove AdvancedPrivacyGuard icons on your Desktop, drag and drop them to the Recycle Bin.
  6. If you find that your homepage has been changed to some other homepage, you can easily change it back. Type in the webpage that you want as your homepage first.
    • Go to Start> Control Panel > Internet Options > General > Use Current.
