AdRoar – Another Browser Helper That Doesn’t Help!

AdRoar is a browser helper object that loads and display unsolicited popup advertisements on your browser without you asking for it. AdRoar installs without your consent, and there is no uninstall capability. (You won’t be able to uninstall it from your Windows Add/Remove Programs utility)

AdRoar is like many other instances of adware that affix themselves to your system, monitor your web surfing habits, and attempt to deliver up targeted advertising based on your collected preferences. AdRoar may be identified by a message it puts up saying “This module was compiled with a trial version of Delphi. The trial period has expired.” It downloads the ad content from the site It can download and install updated versions of itself, perpetuating the problems.

AdRoar can change browser settings, and also can reconfigure your browser homepage, and will generally make your computer perform slowly and become very unresponsive. AdRoar will use a great deal of your system resources, and this kind of activity will increase over time if nothing is done to delete AdRoar from your system.

Figuring out how to kill AdRoar is not as easy. Finding and deleting all the rogue files associated with AdRoar is a very iffy deal. AdRoar does a great job of hiding itself, and the chance are that if you try and go in and delete all of the files yourself you are quite likely to erase a file that is necessary to the efficient operation of your PC  while you’re doing it!

You would be so much better off using a software solution to deal with this problem. A good antispyware software save you time, perhaps money, and certainly a lot of lost productivity in getting rid of this pest. The best I know of is ZookaWare PC Cleaner, which comes with a 100% spyware removal guarantee.
