Bandook

Bandook is a backdoor trojan that allows the attacker to take control of your computer from a remote location. Bandook is usually installed through other malware, such as the type you may get from sharing files or downloading music, videos and messengers.

This malicious software program remains resident in the background, unknown to the user. Bandook may enable the attacker to use your computer for malicious purposes, and to modify, disable or delete system files that are necessary for the proper functioning of your PC. Bandook may be a threat to private information as well.

Once detected, Bandook should be removed immediately. To remove Bandook manually, you must kill all associated running processes, and then locate related files and values in order to delete them. Manual removal is not recommended due to the risk of damage to your PC. To remove Bandook automatically, you should use a reliable antispyware tool such as Spyzooka, which is designed for this purpose.

My computer was kind of messed up. I was 100% sure that it was infected with Bandook. I couldn’t get rid of it by myself, but neither with professional programs. So I decided to try this one, SpyZooka. It removed it really fast, for my surprise. I appreciate this!

I recently installed Windows XP and after installing some usual programs, my antivirus system found Bandook. I remove it from add/remove programs, but it still runs in the background. I was thinking to reinstall Windows, but a friend told me to try SpyZooka. I had nothing to loose, so I downloaded it. For my surprise it worked and it saved lot of time. thanks!
