Win32.Lamebot

Affecting the following systems, Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, and Server 2003, this backdoor Trojan opens random ports for the purpose of communicating with its author and also to grant access to additional malware.

It will also try to gain system information, specifically memory size and your operating system.  Then it will proceed to download and execute files.  Each time you try to go to Yahoo, Google or MSN Websites, Win32.Lamebot will redirect you to this IP address 69.3{BLOCKED}1.22.  Not addressing this nasty program on your computer will make your computer virtually unusable because nearly all control will be given to the attacker.

Remove at once.

For manual removal, open Windows Task Manager and kill the following process:  APISVC.EXE.

You will then have to locate and remove any remaining files and folders related to the spyware.  Manual removal may or may not be a successful endeavor, as these programs tend to have a life of their own, regenerate and recreate themselves.  For maximum security, try ZookaWare PC Cleaner.  ZookaWare PC Cleaner is a spyware immunizer and can keep you fully protected from spyware.  There are many programs to choose from but none that perform and keep you as safe as ZookaWare PC Cleaner.

While I was trying to download a free program, my computer was infected with a backdoor Trojan. I have windows vista and I couldn’t delete any folders on C drive, my computer has slowed down a whole bunch. I tried lots of antivirus programs but nothing helped.
I found Spyzooka, and give it a chance. A free scan, and it found Win32.Lamebot on my computer. I’ve decided to get the license, and that really helped, because it saved all my files, and my computer works like new.
