Usirf is a backdoor Trojan. It uses legitimate software to install. Then it modifies the software to allow an attacker access to infected computers. Since it uses FTP to “talk” to the attacker, the attacker is limited to sending and receiving files. This does not mean Usirf is not dangerous.

In fact, Usirf has the ability to steal passwords, install files, modify files, and grab sensitive information. All the data on the computer is at risk.
