This spyware belongs to the backdoor Trojan family, which makes it a dangerous threat to the digital security of any computer user.  These types of malware are known for gaining secret – and often remotely operated – access to computers, allowing the operation of the machine to be turned over to a hacker.  Once this happens, there can be problems ranging from the use of the computer for illegal or shady activities to the complete destruction of the hard drive.
