WebEventLogger

WebEventLogger is a backdoor Trojan with two separate parts. First, WebEventLogger downloads the malicious part from the web address found in the system folder. At that point WebEventLogger executes the program it downloaded.

Second, the downloaded component steals passwords and other sensitive information. It does this by trying to scan the system and send the information to a CGI script through the Internet.

WebEventLogger uses random file names to create itself and the downloaded components. This makes it difficult to find and remove manually. It also creates registry keys that allow WebEventLogger to run on startup.
